The Airfield of Britain Conservation Trust is dedicated to the preservation of Britain’s airfield heritage. The charity also aims to educate the public, not only to existing airfields but those that either lay derelict or have been long erased from the memory.
The identity created for the charity drew influence from wartime design as well as integrating the runway and vapour trails to create one half of the Union flag.
This identity was published in Angus Hyland’s (Pentegram) identity design book, ‘Symbol’ (Laurence King).
