In 2002 legislation was passed by the Irish government to restructure the Central Bank of Ireland and in so doing, create a separate financial regulator to work alongside the bank itself. Both entities needed parallel but distinct brand identities.
The logos were based on the ‘Crann an Óir’ (Golden Tree) sculpture which sits outside the bank and symbolises the wealth of the nation. Brand roll out involved corporate identity, stationery and promotional collateral.
